Herbs for Headaches
The simple act of brewing and drinking a cup of hot herbal tea can
do much to promote relaxation and relieve a tension headache,
especially if it is made from a relaxing herb such as chamomile,
catnip, or linden flower, all of which are mild sedatives.
A more tenacious headache may require white willow bark,
meadowsweet, or valerian, all of which have pain-relieving
properties.
These herbs generally do not work as well as drugs for stopping
pain, but because they have no harmful side effects, they are a
much better alternative.
