Parasites/Worms

Parasites and human worms can be the cause of intestinal discomfort, bloating gas and chronic constipation. Herbs are often used in intestinal cleansing and anti-parasite support. Follow dosage and directions carefully when using any herbs that are emetics, (strong laxatives).A healthy immune system is the best defense against parasites and disease. Some of the things you can do to reduce the risk of parasitic infections are:

* Wash all fruits and vegetables.
* Thoroughly cook meats and fish.
* Drink pure water.
* Practice good personal hygiene.

Several herbs and foods have traditionally been used to treat parasites. They have fewer side effects, but generaly take longer to work. Take an infestation of parasties seriously, and consult a qualified health practicioner. And if you are pregnant, be aware that many of the herbs and drugs used to treat parasites have side effects for pregnant women.
